Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026. This is a starting template and should be reviewed by your legal counsel before you rely on it.

1. What we collect

We collect the account details you provide (name, email), the documents and signatures you create or upload, signing metadata used for the certificate of completion (such as timestamps and IP address of signers), and basic usage and billing information.

2. How we use it

We use your information to provide the Service: drafting, sending, signing, generating certificates, billing, and account security. Signing metadata is recorded to evidence that a document was signed.

3. Email

Transactional emails (verification, signing invitations, reminders, completion, security codes) are sent through our configured email provider. We do not sell your data.

4. Storage and processing

Documents and account data are stored with our infrastructure providers (database, file storage, and payment processor). Files you upload are kept in private storage accessible only by the Service.

5. Retention

We keep your documents and account data while your account is active. Deleting a document removes its stored files. You can request account deletion, after which associated data is removed subject to legal retention requirements.

6. Your choices

You can update your profile, change your email and password, and delete documents from within the app. For data requests, contact the support address on our website.

7. Security

Sensitive settings are encrypted at rest, and sensitive account changes require an emailed verification code. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure.

8. Google user data

If you connect Google Drive, Sigent requests only the drive.file scope, which lets it create and manage only the files it creates in your Drive. Sigent uses this access solely to save your completed documents to your Drive at your request. Sigent's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it except as needed to provide this feature or as required by law. You can disconnect Google Drive at any time, which revokes Sigent's access to it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
